Last weekends J & J Lake Norman Winter TeamTournament Trails kicked off
in grand fashion. On Saturday, 89 teams showed up. When all was said and done
two familar names were on top of the leader board. Kevin Toler and Robney
Lambert brought in 14.35 and anchored that with a 4.75 largemouth that
took big fish honors on the day. Second place went to Steve Addington and
Shane Hawkins with 11.90. Third thru fifth were all very close as Greeg
Gibson and Kevin Dillard had 11.45 for third, Nathan White and Chad Taylor had
11.25 good for fourth and rounding out the top five was Mark Brown and Todd
Ingram with 11.20.
The Saturday Trail will fish again on December 15.
On Sunday, 60 teams came out and again familar names were atop the leader
board at days end. Ron Walfarth and Larry Ingran got the win with 11.70. Chris
Chimiak and Mike Lovelace had 10.85 and were second. Nathan White and T. J.
Harris had 10.80 and claimed third while the teams of Ed Furr/ Paul Heape and
Grant McPeteres/Donnie Woody both had 10.50. Big fish between the two broke
the tie.
Big bass on Sunday was a 4.00 largemouth.
The Sunday Trail will fish again this coming Sunday, December 9.
Again, all events on the J & J trails fish from 9 am to 4 pm. You could not
ask for a more fair trail with a great payout.
