The J & J Lake Norman Sprint Tournament Trail had their 2 day
championship this past weekend. The top twenty teams from both
Saturday and Sunday's trails advanced to the championship.
When the scales were put away (until the winter trail starts),
two familar names were on top. Tony Shook and Michael Fox had
16.05 and a win. They also had second big fish of the
championship with a 4.80 largemouth. Mike Lovelace and Al
March took second with 14.95. Lee and Kenny Hoyle had 13.30
good for third with Robert Stiltner landing in fourht with
12.35. Todd Goodwin and Ronnie McCoy had 11.70 and ended up
fifth and they anchored their catch with a 5.0 largemouth
which was big bass of the event.
Teams had to have at least 10.40 to make the top ten, pretty
good for as hot as it has been. This says something about the
quality of anglers fishing these J & J events.
A huge thank you was extended from David and his wife, who
make up J & J, to all anglers who fished the 2009 spring
trail. The dates for the 2010 winter trail will be announced
soon, but all indications are, it will kick off on Decmeber 5.
